Sarah has worked at John O’Shea’s for over 20 years. Sarah came to John’s as a stable lass and has worked her way up to be assistant trainer. Sarah is extremely passionate about developing the staff skills and helping them find their own paths and careers in the industry.
Everyone comes to Sarah for advice and her perspective on things. Her care for the staff and horses goes above and beyond.
Since winning the Leadership and Employee of the Year awards at the 2023 Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards, Sarah has taken on many more extra tasks. She has completed her level 1 coaching with the Racing Development Programme and is currently waiting to do her level 2. Sarah also is a NARS representative, checking racecourse facilities and making sure everything is in place for the welfare of all the racing staff and horses.
