WiR Bursary
The Women in Racing (WiR) Bursary champions women’s advancement across the racing industry by supporting professional development, training and career progression. Since its inception, the bursary has helped fund a wide range of opportunities, including HGV licences, media training, research projects, counselling qualifications and more - enabling our members to develop the skills and confidence needed to progress their careers within the horseracing industry.
About the Bursary
The WiR Bursary Programme is open to all paid members of Women in Racing based in Great Britain and offers up to £2,000 per year. This amount may be shared across multiple awardees. Applicants are therefore encouraged to apply only for the exact amount required and to include a clear cost breakdown where appropriate.
Before applying, we strongly recommend reviewing the Bursary Guidelines, which outline eligibility requirements, the application process and funding expectations.
