Charlotte Osborne

Charlotte has over 20 years’ experience of working in various areas of industry. Starting out working in the thoroughbred breeding industry, before moving into education. Charlotte worked in further and higher education, before moving into the world of sport governing bodies. Initially at the British Equestrian Federation, before joining the Senior Management Team at British Dressage where Charlotte leads on coaching, officials, talent pathways, including para, and major training events.
She is also the safeguarding lead and is part of the BEF Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy group. Charlotte also holds a non-executive role at Swimming where she leads of workforce and coaching. In addition, she also chairs the BEF coach development action team, the group where equestrian coaching leads from across all areas of equestrian sport work to improve the coaching landscape.
Charlotte is passionate about ensuring opportunities for women in sport, and for providing employability skills to young people. She led the implementation of apprenticeships, bespoke career development and school engagement initiatives at British Dressage.
Charlotte is a qualified coach, working with a range of different riders. Charlotte was also a keen competition, competing in all three disciplines.
