Claire Kubler

Claire has been training racehorses alongside her husband, Daniel Kubler for 7 years; they have recently been licensed as the first husband and wife training partnership under the BHA’s new regulations. Starting with six horses in a small rented yard they have developed their business and recently built a stunning new training yard in Upper Lambourn.

The couple are recognised as one of the leading employers in the industry and won the Lycetts Team Champion Award in 2020.

Claire graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Natural Sciences (Physiology). During her time there she was joint author on a paper published in the esteemed scientific Journal of Physiology on muscle cells. Claire then qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, winning several awards. She worked in both Audit and Forensics. One of her roles was mentoring undergraduates to find their right career paths.

Before switching to the racing industry full time Claire worked several sales seasons for the Queen’s Racing Advisor, John Warren who has purchased multiple Classic winners and Champions. This developed her eye for finding future talent and she now attends all the major yearling sales in the UK and Ireland, selecting horses to purchase for owners at Kubler Racing. With modest budgets she has sourced several stakes level performers.

Claire was Pupil Assistant Trainer for William Muir, Assistant Trainer for Patrick Gallagher in California and Assistant Trainer for classic winning trainer Jeremy Noseda in Newmarket before setting out together with Daniel. Claire spent a lot of time working alongside vets and physiotherapists to further develop her knowledge of all skills required to train racehorses to their peak potential. Over the last 2 years Claire has Site Managed and Project Managed the construction of their new training yard, Sarsen Farm, which includes quality staff accommodation, spacious stables and a stunning owners lounge.
