I joined Racing Welfare as Chief Operating Officer in November 2018 and have overall responsibility on all matters relating to finance, governance, fundraising, operations, communications and marketing. I also have an integral part in running our housing charity, Racing Homes and am the Management Representative of our Safeguarding Team. My role as part of the Senior Leadership Team is to develop and deliver our strategy, working closely with our Board of Trustees.
I am a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and previous to joining Racing Welfare I ran my own consultancy business providing finance, business planning, PR and marketing advice and support. During this time, my consultancy assignments included interim Finance Director for the National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket and interim Regional Head of Marketing for Jockey Club Racecourses’ Eastern Region. Having qualified as a chartered accountant in 2003, I began my career with a 10-year term at accountancy firm Baker Tilly, during which time I was based in both the UK and San Francisco. I then moved on to enjoy a seven-year run as Finance Director at the British Racing School in Newmarket.
