Dawn Laidlaw

Dawn is Head of Nominations for Darley Stallions in Newmarket.  Leading a team of people who are responsible for nomination sales and client relations across Europe.

As well as selling noms and looking after clients to the highest standard, Dawn has been instrumental in setting up development training courses for the sales and marketing departments both in the UK and Ireland. These have undoubtedly helped develop a strong team ethic and has provided real opportunities for people to advance. Always encouraging everyone to challenge themselves, Dawn is also very supportive and provides a nurturing environment for all those who work with her and gets the greatest pleasure from seeing members of her team progress throughout the thoroughbred industry.

Dawn also took part in Godolphin’s in-house mentoring programme which included in-depth training and subsequent mentoring within the organisation.

She has worked in various sectors of the industry including hands on work in racing yards and studs in the UK, Ireland and Australia prior to moving in the office environment firstly with Coolmore Stud before joining Darley/Godolphin in 2000.

Outside of work Dawn enjoys playing and following sport particularly tennis and is a vocal advocate for the benefits of including physical activity in your lifestyle.
