I am privileged to be Chief Executive of the education and community engagement charity, Racing to School, which works across the horseracing industry . My long-time career in the sport started through broadcasting, then writing. Four years as Chief Executive of the trade body, the Professional Jockeys’ Association was followed by a director role with the newly-formed greyhound regulator. I switched to the not-for-profit sector in 2011 to become fundraising director with an international equine charity and for six years held a Trustee position for a charity related to gambling-related harms; I hold the same role for the British Horseracing Pension Scheme.
