During my gap year I left my native North East of Scotland and went to the British Racing School which started my career in the racing industry. I spent the next 12 years working predominantly on flat yards including 4 seasons as a travelling head girl and a handful of rides on the flat. I was lucky enough to travel horses to Ireland, France, America and St.Moritz and rode a lot of high class horses at home. I had a year out over 2016/17 when I had our first daughter then came back to riding out part time. Shortly after returning from maternity leave I got a job at the British Racing School as the Workplace Instructor delivering Equine Racing Groom apprenticeships in the workplace for the Lambourn area and that is a job role I am still in. I combine this with riding sports horses and hunters. I had our second daughter at the start of 2020 and returned to work in December of that year and plan to start my Horse Racing Industry foundation degree this September.
